And with good reason too - there is no such thing as jobs for life so there are a few things you need to know after you get that dream job you have always longed for. Learn these tips in and you will have a much greater chance of staying in the corporate world for as long as you wish.

Always be punctual. Your employer will not tolerate lateness so avoid being late at meetings or work. This will give the impression that you are not a team player and are lazy at work. Always remember that everyone has to cooperate in the workplace in order for one to complete the job at hand.

In the corporate world, the main goals that you will be involved in will be team orientated. Your boss will believe that you are not interested in your job if you continue to be late, so try to avoid being late at all costs. Although everyone can be late now and then, if you are always late, your career will be in danger.

Take note of the proper dress code. Always remember to dress appropriately. If your company has a specific dress code to follow, then observe this. It will help you show that you are presentable to your boss or to your fellow employees.

Don't forget to neatly press all your shirts, blouses, skirts or trousers. Dressing untidily or inappropriately will give the impression that you uninterested or shoddy in your work. Always try to look your best - it's good not just for your image, but for your well being also.

Follow instructions. Always note what your employer says If you feel the need to safeguard your job, never miss any instructions from your employer. If your having trouble with a task, always ask your boss as this is better than completing your task in a hurry. Also remember that following instructions also means that you value for your work and the outputs that you have.

Have strong work etiquette. Nothing is more rewarding that having bosses and companions which you can get along with. Some people disregard the need to have a good work etiquette. They do not pay respect and courtesy to their superiors, and they also do not respect those who work with him. How do you expect to have your work done fine if you do not even get along with the people you work with? That is a big problem.

If you want to keep your career intact, there lots of important things you should consider. Remember, holding on to your career should be treated with the greatest importance for you and your dependants. You will be rewarded in the long run.
